Inspired by the brightly coloured training jackets of the 1980s, Rava is the epitome of comfort. With wide batwing sleeves, it has style, elegant nonchalance and balanced out retro vibes. This is a great sewing pattern for a sweater, a (lined) jacket or a sleeveless body warmer. This set of pattern parts allows home sewists to make no less than 28 different garments!
The pattern comes in a layered PDF (with AND without seam allowance) and a projector file accompanied by an e-book with very clear instructions.
Recommended Fabrics
This is a versatile pattern that can be made with a range of fabrics for different looks. If you use a thick fabric, it is recommended to make the zipper placket and facing parts in thinner fabric. For the zipperless sweaters, keep in mind that your head should be able to pass through the neck opening, so the collar will need to have some stretch. The collarless jacket option would look great in wool.
Supplies and Notions
Thread
Depending on the variation and fabric you choose, you will also need fusible interfacing, elastic and buttons.
Sizing
EU 34-56; UK6-28; US 2-24
Level of Difficulty
Depending on the variation, this pattern is suitable for experienced beginners to intermediate. For beginners, the sweater version is a great option (with some extra steps for the colour blocking). The jackets are for sewists who like a bit more of a challenge.
